Why ADAS Calibration?
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are now prevalent in modern vehicles. Relied upon by motorists, they provide essential features such as lane-keep assistance (LKA), adaptive cruise control (ACC), and automatic emergency braking (AEB), among others. These safety features have the ability to protect motorists and passengers and promote good driving habits.
During repairs or regular maintenance, it can be helpful to offer the added service of ADAS calibration. This allows you to provide full-scale service to your customers and offers opportunities to improve their satisfaction.

ADAS Calibration Targets
Each automaker requires specific types of calibration targets for their makes and models. The three main types of targets include camera targets, radar targets, and lidar targets, among others.

ADAS Calibration Frames
Calibration frames provide reliable reference points for the vehicle so you can get the most accurate alignment possible.
Some ADAS calibration frames offer motorized controls and automation features to make the calibration process easier. Others offer the ability to be disassembled and transported, such as the MA600. All types are designed to provide a stable, precisely measured platform for mounting target boards.
Diagnostic Tablets
Diagnostic tablets for ADAS access the vehicle’s onboard computer to calibrate the system directly. They allow technicians to communicate with the vehicle’s electronic control units, receive diagnostic trouble codes, and calibrate the system according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
These tablets also allow you to do pre- and post-calibration scans—in turn, they offer the best return on investment out of any piece of ADAS equipment in your shop.
