The Laser Reflector LAM09-03 is an accessory designed for use with ADAS-calibration equipment from TOPDON (e.g., as part of the Phoenix Mobile ADAS kit).
It is one of the alignment tools included (or optionally purchased) to help technicians perform proper calibration of vehicle ADAS systems.
The primary function of the Laser Reflector is to help determine the center line of the vehicle: i.e. confirm that the front and rear center points of the vehicle are aligned on the same longitudinal axis.
During ADAS calibration, before mounting calibration targets or proceeding with camera/radar setup, the reflector is placed in a position parallel to the vehicle; using a laser module (e.g., a five-line or cross-line laser), the technician aligns the laser beam so that it strikes the reflector’s reflective stripe — thereby confirming that the calibration frame and vehicle are centered.
This helps eliminate alignment errors and ensures that subsequent calibrations (camera, radar, lane-assist sensors) are accurate to manufacturer or safety standards.
The Laser Reflector LAM09-03 is one of several accessories in a full ADAS calibration kit. Others include a five-line laser (LAM09-01), cross-laser (LAM09-02), auxiliary mirror (LAM09-04), L-shaped positioning bracket (LAM09-05), plumb bob/line (LAM09-06), target boards/storage and extension rods, etc
In any auto-service / repair/calibration workshop where ADAS systems are recalibrated (after windshield replacement, collision repairs, radar/camera replacement, wheel alignment, etc.), having a laser reflector helps ensure central alignment — a foundational step for precise ADAS calibration.
Using the reflector reduces human error and increases the reproducibility of alignment, which is critical for safety systems (lane assist, collision avoidance, auto-braking, etc.).
It helps the workshop meet calibration standards reliably, which reduces liability and improves the quality of service.
